    Kalalou is a leading design and wholesaler of artistic Home and Outdoor Garden décor selling to the better retailers and designers around the country (

    You will be contacting existing customers, inactive customers, and prospects to gain orders and reorders. The in-house sales and marketing team members travel 6 to 8 times a year to exciting trade shows across the country (Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, High Point) to meet with and assist customers. Our customers are better independent home accessory stores, design firms and independent designers, garden, and furniture stores. After and between shows, you will follow up with customers in putting together their orders and making recommendations. The inside salesperson maintains and services their own customer base from our offices in Jackson, MS. Rather than traveling to see our customers in their stores, we work through our website using a “screen share” app just as if we were physically in front of the customer.

  • • Conception and design of new home decor products across all product lines with the Kalalou customer in mind
  • • Product development from initial concept through sketch, computer rendering, and sample revisions to sample approval
  • • Staying abreast of current home decor and gift industry trends and forecasts
  • • Fulfilling design and development requests from Kalalou Sales and Key Account teams
  • • Research and knowledge of materials with regard to selecting appropriate existing or new manufacturers
  • • Assisting in selection of new Kalalou products
  • • Trade show setup for market (some travel is required)

  • • Four year degree in Design, Art or related field
  • • Strong understanding of form and spatial relationships with regard to use and function of products
  • • Ability to communicate ideas via illustration, both by hand and digitally
  • • Strong aesthetic sensibilities with regard to color, finishes, materials and techniques
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • • Able to manage time and production goals independently and as part of a team
