CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / FULL-TIME


We are an importer of gift and home decorative accessories and have an immediate opening within our Customer Service department. We sell to both business-to-business and business-to-consumer with an established and growing customer base. We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Professional to be trained in-house and assume a role in which you will take ownership in the care of our customers.


RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

    SALES & MARKETING / FULL-TIME


    Marketing and Sales position opening in Jackson, MS. An exciting opportunity to work in the home accessory industry.     Kalalou is a leading design and wholesaler of artistic Home and Outdoor Garden décor selling to the better retailers and designers around the country (www.kalalou.com).


    You will be contacting existing customers, inactive customers, and prospects to gain orders and reorders. The in-house sales and marketing team members travel 6 to 8 times a year to exciting trade shows across the country (Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, High Point) to meet with and assist customers. Our customers are better independent home accessory stores, design firms and independent designers, garden, and furniture stores. After and between shows, you will follow up with customers in putting together their orders and making recommendations. The inside salesperson maintains and services their own customer base from our offices in Jackson, MS. Rather than traveling to see our customers in their stores, we work through our website using a “screen share” app just as if we were physically in front of the customer.


    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES:

  • • Good communications skills.
  • • Ability to interact with customers at trade shows and over the phone.
  • • Internet savvy, data entry skills for entering orders and general computer skills.
  • • Must have clear understandable diction over the phone.
  • • Self-motivated and disciplined. Looking for a career, not just a job.
  • • Desire and ability to learn superior sales and marketing skills.
  • • Sales experience is not necessary since we will train.
  • • Assertive skills, ability to be direct and to the point.
  • • You will be trained for several weeks by an industry professional in the skills and techniques of successful sales and marketing. You will continue to learn from our designers, our management team and our great base of customers.
